Job Description

We are seeking a motivated, customer-focused Sales Representative to join our team. In this role, you’ll introduce families and small businesses to HPN’s cutting-edge security solutions, educate them on the risks of unsecured networks, and guide them toward the right HPN product for their needs. As one of the first points of contact, you’ll play a crucial role in building trust, representing our mission, and helping to expand HPN’s reach.


Key Responsibilities

  • Generate and qualify leads through outreach, networking, events, and referrals.
  • Conduct consultations with homeowners and small business owners about cybersecurity risks.
  • Present HPN Defender and Advanced firewall/router solutions with clarity and professionalism.
  • Develop tailored recommendations for each customer’s home or office environment.
  • Collaborate with installation teams to ensure seamless customer onboarding.
  • Meet or exceed monthly sales goals and performance metrics.
  • Represent HPN at community events, trade shows, and partner institutions.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and follow-up activity.

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of sales experience in technology, telecommunications, or home services.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to explain technical concepts in simple, relatable terms.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable with both in-person and virtual sales presentations.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for in-home consultations (if field-based).

Preferred Certifications

  • Background in IT sales, home automation, or consumer cybersecurity products.
  • CompTIA IT Fundamentals+ or similar (not required but demonstrates tech familiarity).
  • Prior work with MSPs, ISPs, or security companies a plus.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience in door-to-door, residential, or B2C sales.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity trends and smart home technologies.
  • Comfort with CRM platforms and lead generation tools.
  • Strong community presence or local networking connections.
